Investing in a great website for your business is one of the best decisions you can make. After all, your website is the digital home base for your business online. Whether you are a mom and pop shop, a Fortune 500 enterprise, or somewhere in between, everyone needs a great website design.
As the home for your business online, your website acts as the centerpiece of your marketing efforts. Whether that is digital marketing, SEO, pay-per-click ads, social media, or email marketing, everything leads back to your website. Why wouldn’t you want to make sure your customers have a great experience once they get there?
Our team of professional in-house Toronto web designers use the latest and greatest technologies to give you a modern and responsive website. The majority of the websites we build are built on WordPress – an industry-leading content management system that powers over 35% of the entire internet. Our team uses the best website design practices in order to give you the best result possible.
When it comes to website design, one size doesn’t fit all – but it usually fits most. In the world of Toronto web design, we’ve seen a couple scenarios play out way too many times:
No matter which way you cut it, neither of the above situations are good.
Underpaying for a shoddy website doesn’t help your business like you might think it would. The money saved by going the budget route will be spent several times over trying to fix a problem that could’ve been avoided in the first place.
Overpaying because of a sleazy salesman who convinced you that you needed to take out a bank loan to fund your new website is also a pretty bad scenario.
We’re gonna give it to you straight: most small to medium sized businesses don’t need to spend $20K on a website (and if you think you do, we’d love to hear why).
That’s why we offer one standard website design package: the One Size Fits Most website package. If you feel like you need something more, get in touch with us and we’ll put together a custom website development package for you.
While one size doesn’t fit all, one size usually fits most.
We only offer one standard web design package because, in our experience, it works for most people. (Note: if you’re looking to sell products online, head over to our e-commerce website development page.
Here’s what you get with our website development package:
The website design process doesn’t need to be super complicated. Over the years, we’ve refined our process to make this as easy and painless as possible for everyone involved. Here are the four major milestones you can look for in all of our web design projects:
Get in touch with us and let us know a bit about your business. One of our web developers in Toronto will reach out within one business day to discuss your project.
We’ll set you up with our pre-project checklist, which will help to start organizing the content for your website. Once you’ve completed the checklist, your project manager will go through your content with you before we start the web design process.
We take it from there! Our web developers do all of the heavy lifting in building you the best website possible. Once we’re finished, you’ll have an opportunity to review our work and submit any revisions that need to be made.
After the revision phase, we finalise and launch the site! Congratulations! From here, we can send you the site for you to launch on your own servers, or you can opt for one of our web hosting and maintenance packages.
Here are some of the most common questions that our Toronto web developers get asked on a regular basis.
In our experience, our One Size Fits Most package works for the majority of businesses. Our service costs $5000 and you can see what’s included by clicking here. We also do custom projects if you feel like our OSFM package doesn’t quite fit your requirements. Just get in touch with us and we’ll provide you with a custom web development quote.
On average, most web design projects take somewhere between 2-4 weeks. Sometimes they can take up to 6-8 weeks. The timeline really depends on a few things: how fast we’re able to get all of the information we need to start working (aka how quickly and completely you can complete the preparation checklist) and how many rounds of revisions we need to go through before launch.
Keep in mind, custom website design projects that fall outside of the scope of our OSFM package may be subject to different timelines, which we’ll discuss with you before starting your project.
Of course! We were a remote team before the COVID-19 outbreak, we have remained a remote team during, and we’ll still be a remote team after. (Have you read Remote: Office Not Required? No? You should. It’s great.)
We love communicating via email and over the phone, and we do Google Meet calls whenever we need a little bit of that (virtual) face-to-face interaction.
Short: either a lot of control or full control, depending on how you decide to launch (more on that in a second).
Long: You’ll have a lot of control over your site if you decide to host with us using one of our hosting and maintenance packages, and full control if you decide to launch and host yourself.
We’ve found that the vast majority of businesses fit into our One Size Fits Most package. We feel that this package represents the needs of the average small to medium sized business.
We don’t feel like a smaller, more limited package sets businesses up for success in the long term. We also don’t believe in nickel and diming small business owners for “add ons” that should just be included in the first place.
We’d be happy to discuss your requirements and vision with you. Just get in touch with us and a web developer in Toronto will reach out to discuss your options and work with you to create a custom web design pricing package.
We can! We offer monthly hosting and maintenance packages, or you have the option to set up the website on your own servers.
Quite a bit! Our preparation checklist gives you an opportunity to tell us anything and everything about your business and what you want your website to look like.
At the end of the day, it’s your website. The more information you can give us as to your visual style preferences, your functionality requirements, and any websites you like, the better.
We’ll need your help and guidance in order to create a finished website that you’re thrilled with, so the more you can give us, the better!
You! You are the foremost expert on your business. At the beginning of your project, we won’t know all that much about your business (although we look forward to getting to know you), which is why it’s best if the written content for your new website comes from you.
Our preparation checklist includes a guided document / content template which will help you create and organize all of the content for your website.
If you need help cleaning up your content or creating original content, we offer professional copywriting services at $100/hr.
